The Ike Series

A small raccoon in a world built by somebody else, learning that the difference between two true accounts is who held the pen. Two arcs run in parallel. One is what he can do. The other is what he cannot.

Arc A · the releases

Every real release is a chapter. A release means Ike can track something he could not track before, which means a new stone at the riverbed. The stone enters quietly and decides a dispute chapters later.

Arc B · the limits

One story per confession. In a limits chapter the stones do not save him. These are not numbered and they do not wait on anything, and they are what keep the other arc worth believing. Each names its limit at the end, in small type, after the story is over.
